Women's Wing

The Women's Wing of the sabha was formed in 1999 with the principal task of complementing the working of the main stream of the sabha with the programs essentially of, for & by its women members.

In the last three years the wing is credited with organizing a series of events like Informative Lectures, Demos, Creative Workshops, Competitions, an Art Shows etc. Some of these events are a part of our annual feature. Less than a year back "KALALYA", an art school offering a variety of courses in art & craft for all ages has been started.

Recent Programs

Some of the successfully organised Programs that were entertaining as well as thought provoking besides encouraging talents:
	Comparative study of Ramayana -16th March 2002 "SITA KALYANA VAIBHOGAME" Sitas wedding as seen by poets Valmiki, Kambar, Tulsidas, and Krittibas against their culture background. This presentation was by Smt. Jaya Venkatesan & Dr. Vidya Venkatesan.
"Consumer Awareness" with the Consumer Guidance Society of India by Mr. Anand Patwardha, Chairman, C.G.S.I & Dr. A.R.Shenoy, Chairman, Testing Committee, C.G.S.I addressed the gathering (22nd June 2002).
	The Faber Castell Inter School drawing & Painting Competition where 1200 children participated (29th June & 6th July 2002).
